Long time "LURKER" finally joins :)

Greetings all

Well, I finally decided to join this forum!  I've been a visitor to it for about 8 years.  A real long time lurker!   I actually remember reading the very first post by YEOELEVEN before he set out on his travels.  I guess the primary reason I did not join earlier was that internet access was a low priority for me as I spent a lot of time in remote locations.  Recently, I find myself spending a bit more time in areas where civilized communications are possible.

I retired in 2004, and have been on the road full time since 2010.  I'm a solo traveler and have always free camped, mostly outback and far north coast WA. Occasionally over east. 100% independent and off grid.  These days surviving quite comfortably on the age pension:)

I feel I know many of the solo grey nomads on this forum quite well, as that is the section I've read most frequently.  As well as "techies corner".

Anyway, this serves as a brief introduction, and perhaps I'll meet some of you on my travels :)

Welcome to the gang Ian, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Good to see ya have 'come out'............................of lurking that is biggrinbiggrin

I'm a solo traveller but just look in on the solo section of the forum and not say much there. I'm in most other places though. (I heard that down the back)

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

G'day Ian and welcome to the forum.  Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit.  Reckon you know your way around the site already!

Long time

Thanks for the welcome Dougwe and Pete & Marion

Dougwe - "" I'm in most other places though."" - I'll leave that comment alone mate :)

I'll have a look at those games again Cadpete. Although I'm not much of a game guy, so please forgive me if my offerings are sparse in that area.

Stay safe guys
