How do you reckon one of those numbers would go down at Greens this summer, Doug? You wouldn't have to worry about too many people crowding you out.

Fashion and fads Our grandparents even parents were outraged at long hair, peace symnols, pot smoking loud rock music loving hippies. How long did that last? . Now the rage is shaved above the ears not far off short back and sides. My on time step son at 14 in 1998 wanted a mushroom haircut all the rage. I told him he'd regret it! Men wont wear that stuff. Fashion and fads...in one day gone the next....

Is No2 of the first parade getting a bit turned on by it all and sporting a wee cheeky budgie?

I never imagined that men could be sold the cosmetics and fashion, but check out the Hipsters. More expensive cold cream than their girlfriends.

In their defence, they are not being allowed to take the risks we could. I don't mean stupid risks. But even as youth in the Scout movement they must be imperfect girls. Sorry, but what other brief words are there outside of a dissertation to express the exasperation of boys not being allowed to be boys and carry a knife, axe, staff, be adventurous and show there is something different in being a Scout and being a boy for that matter?

Without saying I personally would wear any of the above outfits, (I wouldn't. Nor would I like to see it at Greens or anywhere else) some years ago it was pointed out that in any Hollywood movie set way into the future men and women both dress much the same.
Usually its a case of women wearing more masculine clothes but not always.
I think its fair to predict that at some point in the future the huge distinction of what is appropriate female/male attire will change dramatically.
Not in our lifetime but perhaps in our grandkids time?

And I can't see it as all bad if that happens.
