New to Forum

Just joined  Forum.  Haven't been able to go caravanning for about a year as a result of a couple of surgeries.  Looking forward to getting away in Nov. if possible.  Getting rusty staying home. Have a 20'6" StarCraft with most of the bells and whistles being towed by a Ford Everest Trend.  Wife and I love vanning. Next year hope to go up north from Adelaide to Darwin and then down the. west coast of W,A, and back home.  Only place we haven't don yet is W.A.'

Regards John

G'day John and welcome to the forum.  Looks like I got up before Dougwe today :), so let me be the first to welcome you!  Don't forget to try the two ongoing games here - 'Who is This' in the 'I Digress' section and 'Pick this Place' in the 'General' Section - a great source to find new places to visit.

Welcome to the gang GhostRider, enjoy here and out in the playground.

I am still to do the 'wild west' as well, it's in my mind just not sure when I will allow to the front of my mind just yet.

Pete, I was up early but then realised it was Uncle Al that got up first when things started going wrong. I fixed him though by locking him outside.

A warm welcome from me also, John

Hope that you have a good road trip, when your shoulder has completely healed

Never be afraid to mention to others, about your recent shoulder surgery, if you want a hand setting up your caravan, etc
I for one, and I know that there are many others out there, would happily assist

I had a rotary cuff shoulder surgery when I was about 55
I was back in the employment playground five weeks later
I now realise that I was just young and foolish
I found out later, that the secret is to avoid heavy lifting, for as long as possible

Thank you for your replies. Tony Bev, a Vietnam Vet mate of mine and his wife are going with us. He has offered to help me hook up etc. if needed. The main problem is the earliest I can get permission to drive again is Nov. 3rd. There is now way I will be out on the road with a rig if I am not 100% fit to drive.

Kindest Regards Rose and John
