Dunno about yours.
But I've got a 3.8kva for my Air cond and Cyclone blackouts up here.

Chinese. MANUAL start (Less to go wrong)
5 or 6 or more? yrs old now. Exported to China, Honda Engined.
Around 34\35kilo. but extendable handle and wheels make it easy.

I don't carry it too far nowadays.
and it runs real well on old stale Outboard and mower fuel.
2 stroke too. Just clean plug after use with the 2 stroke.

Chippie mate put me onto them. His tradies use 'em on site. constantly.
and at around $400 a pop del.
You get through a few b4 covering cost of Honda's and Yammie's etc.
Seems just as reliable too.

Use and enjoy.

It's quite easy to fabricate a better silencer for them too.
Or buy more efficient one and have your manifold flange welded onto it.

My view is that anybody who is bush camping has no right to complain about the running noise from a generator.

That what bush camping is all about. No power ....so we need not only Battery and Solar but at times the Gennie.

Now this comment may upset a few who free camp and disagree with me but so be it.

We try and park away from others, but then some new arrivals then end up parking alongside of us.... again so be it.

This is ours, and I agree with Jay&Dee. nod.gif We use it as required. Coffee machine in the morning and arvo, as well as microwave if Eril needs it, then to top up battery if needed. I have a 40 amp 240v charger that works anytime the genset is running.

There's generators and good generators,I don't like listening to the things ,but not much you can do about it it's part of what we do, but if you have a noisy cheapie and they do make a racket,I hope some one parks next to you and you will not see the funny side, when the shoes on the other foot..

Fortunately, in area's we care to visit, the majority don't share this attitude.

In fact we rarely hear a generator running, thank goodness.-1.png

XG-SF2000-3700. GENaaaa.jpg2Weis, this is the circuit from the owners manual. There should be 350AC betwean each Black wire as marked & there should be 12V AC betwean the white wires as marked. If there is & theres still nothing at the power sockets, then the Inverter is faulty.

it is an I-TECH model, as i said, made from/by I-TECH, a reputable company. recieved a 240 watt solar panel with it as well.  wasn't worrying about the price only positives on the gennie.

So gold dandelion, there are all the positives, I hope your purchase serves you well, but please don't catch the attitude.

Yes Barboots. The reason we have Natonal Parks and secluded bush camping is so people can listen to their bloody generators withou the sounds of nature spoiling the symphony. If you arrive before anyone else then you make all the rules regardless of anyone else's enjoyment. That is what the great outdoors is all about, air conditioners, sat tv and big generators.
