New Boy

Hello,

I have just joined Grey Nomads and am starting my sojourn around Ausi late April .

I have bought a Jayco outback and a landcruiser, Is there a club I can join to get good

rates on insurance camp sites etc .

Kind Regards Kiwi Steve

Welcome to the gang Steve, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Not for Insurance but treat this place like a sort of 'club'. Check out 'Get togethers' as you could find good people to meet.

OK thanks Guys I did not expect responses so quickly.
I still need to work out who best to insure with , being a tourist premiums could be quite high.
Cheers all Steve

I am on the road full time and have my van and car insured through the 'general' insurance of my private health fund. Might be worth looking into. You could also do a search in the search box above in the thick blue line as heaps of information already on the forum.

G'day Steve,  and welcome to the forum.  Plenty of great advice and folks on here.  Don't forget to try out the two games - Who is This in the I digress section and Pick This Place in the general section.  'Pick this place' is a great way to find new places to explore.   smile

I hope that I am not too late to welcome you Kiwi Steve

I have CIL insurance, and received a card off them, for some sort of discounts

I do not use caravan parks, so have never used it, and therefore do not know exactly, what is what
Perhaps someone who uses this card can shine some light on it

Perhaps look up CIL insurance on the net

Thanks everyone for your welcomes. My start has been delayed for a week , just trying to tidy affairs in NZ before I start.
I haven't booked flights yet , fearing that I will not get everything done. Procrastination and trepidation may actually be the real reason, In reality. When I arrive in Melbourne I need to pick up the new vehicle and caravan and kit it all out , from linen to knives and forks, I literally will have nothing to get started with . All though its is a bit daunting , I am looking forward to my first night away. You must all laugh at this . I also look forward to meeting you and sharing tales.
Kind regards Steve
