I am unable to ask Oscar given his current disposition biggrin. However, perhaps the subtlety is in the definition -

wick·ed -Evil by nature and in practice

 

vul·ga'r  - Crudely indecent. Deficient in taste, delicacy, or refinement. Marked by a lack of good breeding; boorish.


Perhaps 'proper society' is more likely to pursue titilating wicked activities rather than vulgar activities.hmm

Having been a contestant in a war game (got a silver medal for comming second) It is my opinion that war is a lot more Vulgar than it is fasinating.
Maybe it is differant for spectators.
