The showgrounds at Hobart (Glenorchy) have been renovated apparently, and there are now more water taps, power boxes and the amenities are much better. 1don't know re the cost now - but was $25 in 2013

Tullah on the west coast, freedom camp beside the Wee Georgie Wood railway. Nice little town, about 10k to Rosbery for shops. Toilets at park. Parking is only a "carpark" but donations to Wee George Wood Railway greatfully taken.

Brilliant freedom camp behind shops in town. Toilets nearby, Laundromat in town, IGA walking distance. Appsrently best bakery in the world (according to others on this forum) $5.00 per night. Also at RSL, but this is closer to town

Apparently Lions Park, behind the shops, just over the railway line, is now closed to overnight stopping. The surf club is apparently closed to campers as well. (22/12/2014)
