Neil Turner Weir, donation camping, at Mitchell Qld is very popular at the moment. Plenty of room, mainly level sites and space for 100's of campers. First time here and very impressed with this campground and town facilities. Will camp again on way back South when weather warms up a few degrees.

Great value camp here. Free for no power. If you want power is is $7 per day. For my money would on go there for the Red Claw. No much in the way of fish. That was back in May 2018. 21 kms south of Tully Tully Showgrounds no longer has free camping so this is a great alternative Room for at least 20+ vans. You can park along side the railway track A bit of traffic noice and the occasional train passing by in the night and day. Kinda fun tho Toilets, Internet reception, no TV
