there have been a few posts about waeco problems but i am a bit stuck despite all the good advice (thanks debe)
cf 50 that runs fine on 240 and stops at desired temp. runs when emergency switch is activated. runs when bridging c and t as you suggested to try but does not start with 12v .
the temp display works and the power light is orange. the board is a 101n500 and i measured 13 v on the input and 13v on the other board on the rightest pin on the incoming plug (if that makes sense).
is there anything i can try to isolate the problem ? (obviously ringing or trying to get in contact with waeco is impossible)

Hi Sam welcome to the forum,
I have a Dometic CF45 which was giving similar issues to yours. You haven't said whether it worked previously or how it is connected to the battery or whether it is to a secondary battery. In my case I could hear the motor attempt to start but my model draws about 15A on startup.
Dometic state this 'orange light on your Waeco CF50 indicates its status. A steady orange light means the fridge has reached your set temperature and the motor has safely turned off to save power. A flashing orange light is a warning that means there is a power or voltage problem.'
I would suggest rather than connecting the a cigarette socket etc, where you may be getting a voltage drop as the motor attempts to start, you test it by connecting it close to the battery.
In my case I was lucky enough to have another battery close by and changed over to an Anderson plug connection and have had no issues since.

the fridge is hard wired to a secondary li ion battery . it worked fine 2 month ago. i tried a different battery with no luck and as i stated the compressor starts when bridging c and t and with the emergency switch on. my 40 year old engel runs fine as a replacement. so with my limited knowledge i figured it must be something wrong with the fridge. the light turns green as soon as it is hooked up to mains.

hi DEBe is there anything i can measure/replace to fix it? not sure if i understand that danfoss post correctly but i never ran the fridge on both currents at the same time. thanks sam

Un fortunatly i dont have one of those boards any more for testing. That board the 240v side completely failed so removed the parts .Used it to fix another fridge that only needed the 12v side working. Probably not worth persuing.

looks like it's gonna be a spare beer fridge for a big party or a freezer if i catch a 300kg tuna....
if you interested i could send you the board to have a play with it as both of the above mentioned scenarios are highly unlikely
