Im leaving nrma because of 34% increase in my premium. Ive got some other quotes online but would like one from cmca but you have to be a member and I dont really want to pay by joining just to get a quote which i may not accept. The benefits offered by them for members are not of much help to me either.
im looking for a quote for a caravan for $75000, no off-road, layup cover good but not essential, good driving history, no claims. Is there anyone who may have insurance with them for a similar setup who could advise of their premium.
Well NRMA did the right thing by me this year, the first year after taking over SWANN bike insurance was expecting pain but no, cheaper by $40, and same agreed value as last year with swann, but I guess next year will be different.
Is it the case that you now have to join in order to get a quote? CMCA used to have a tie-in with KT Insurance, and when I switched to KT I could get a quote, take out a policy and join up to get the 5% discount at the same time. But that tie-in ceased in the last six months and CMCA are now doing their own thing in conjuntion with an underwriter. If you have to join first then they are discouraging potential new members who are mainly interested in insurance.
Despite all their blah blah in their television advertising for get about Youi Insurance. Duped by their promises on TV advertising I got a quote for interests sake. My current insurance with NRMA is for a $60,000 caravan is costing $117 a month. I got a quote from Youi which came out at $185 a month so guess where I stayed! I daresay they have to have high premiums to pay for their TV marketing campaigns!

Many years ago, I wanted a quote from youi.
Couldnt get a quote online so had to speak with an agent.
The amount of questions they asked was obscenely high and to me, a gross invasion of privacy and my time.
The premium they eventually quoted was WAY above their competitors.
Its not youi to them, its about mei.
I'm beginning to wonder if insurance is a waste of time. I had too occasions with hail damage.
The paint job has faded badly after because they used that method of pulling the dent out.
My colorbond house roof was also severely damaged, and they replaced it entirely but used some other brand of tin (a lot thinner) and didn't replace the insulation that they pulled out when they removed the roof. Now in a storm you can't hear yourself think it's so loud.

Paying for their TV marketing campaigns should be free. They are the most ridiculous things I have seen on tv. What a pair of gooses

I had a shed built a few years ago and did a lot of research.
From memory, I ended up with 0.38mm Colorbond walls.
My neighbour also built a shed.
He used 0.32mm Colorbond.
His walls are like tinfoil. Amazing difference.
Their ads are totally silly and downright childish. Youi Insurance is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Youi Holdings Pty Ltd, which is part of the OUTsurance International Holdings group. The ultimate parent company is the South African-based OUTsurance Group Limited.
Millions spent on advertising by companies here in Oz are tax deductable. A good example is one, of many, white goods retailers, who have been blitzing the airwaves for well over five years. Their ads are headed up by the owner who, in my opinion, looks half baked to say the least.
There are a lot of advertising agencies in Oz who haven't had an original idea in years. The kid on the bus offering some of his chocolate to the girl is a standout and that was some time ago. I don't know about the rest of the folks on here but, when these appear, I reach for the mute button. It's bad enough having to watch them without having to listen as well!!
End of rant.
