If you are considering buying the book "Natural Healing Remedies Handbook" be aware that they are using USD on the website. They also don't include GST until after you have ordered. Otherwise a bigger chunk than you expect will be deducted from your account.
My bill climbed from $75 to $117. Just be aware. I thought it was an Australian Website and I think I could be forgiven because I ordered it 16/12 and received it 18/12. Overnight from America? Got to be a record. Very deceptive. and you will be inundated with emails trying to get further purchases.

I see the paperback version for $33 on Amazon, $12 on Kindle, and $0 on Kindleunlimited. Not that I would consider buying, or even reading, this nonsense.

Dorian hope you dont catch malaria.
Malaria: Artemisinin, derived from the herb qinghao (sweet wormwood), is a proven, highly effective treatment and the basis for modern antimalarial drugs (recognized with a Nobel Prize in 2015)
Many pharmaceuticals are derived from herbs and plants.
Easy to be skeptical I know but have to keep an open mind.
As a matter of fact, my wife will have her fourth chemotherapy course in mid January.
One of the drugs used is:
Paclitaxel (Taxol)Originally from the Pacific yew tree (Taxus brevifolia). Chemotherapy drug for cancers like ovarian, breast, and lung.
There ya go.
I started counting how many Ive taken but I stopped at six cause I started to feel like a junkie lol
How about you guys, do a count.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of pharmaceutical drugs derived from plants, compiled from reliable sources. Ive included the drug name, the primary plant source (with scientific name where available), and a brief description of its main medical use. Many modern drugs are synthesized versions inspired by or directly extracted from these natural compounds.
Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid): Willow bark (Salix spp.), used for pain relief, reducing inflammation, and preventing heart attacks. [9] [11]
Morphine: Opium poppy (Papaver somniferum), a strong analgesic for severe pain. [9] [11] [12]
Codeine: Opium poppy (Papaver somniferum), used as an analgesic and antitussive (cough suppressant). [9] [11] [12]
Quinine: Cinchona tree (Cinchona ledgeriana), an antimalarial and antipyretic. [9] [12]
Digoxin: Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), a cardiotonic for heart conditions like arrhythmia and heart failure. [10] [11] [12]
Vincristine: Madagascar periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus), an antitumor agent for treating leukemia and lymphoma. [9] [10] [12]
Vinblastine: Madagascar periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus), an antitumor agent for leukemia and Hodgkins lymphoma. [9] [10] [12]
Caffeine: Coffee beans (Coffea spp.), tea leaves (Camellia sinensis), or cacao (Theobroma cacao), a CNS stimulant for treating fatigue and migraines. [11] [12]
Cocaine: Coca plant (Erythroxylum coca), used as a local anesthetic. [11] [12]
Taxol (paclitaxel): Pacific yew (Taxus brevifolia), an antitumor agent for various cancers. [12]
Atropine: Deadly nightshade (Atropa belladonna), an anticholinergic for treating bradycardia or as a mydriatic.
Galantamine: Snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis), a cholinesterase inhibitor for Alzheimers disease.
Digitoxin: Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea), a cardiotonic similar to digoxin for heart failure.
Reserpine: Snakeroot (Rauvolfia serpentina), an antihypertensive and tranquilizer.
Ephedrine: Ma huang (Ephedra sinica), a sympathomimetic for asthma and as a decongestant.
Pilocarpine: Jaborandi (Pilocarpus jaborandi), a parasympathomimetic for glaucoma.
Theophylline: Cacao (Theobroma cacao) and tea, a bronchodilator for asthma.
Camptothecin (and derivatives like irinotecan): Happy tree (Camptotheca acuminata), an antitumor agent.
Podophyllotoxin (and derivatives like etoposide): Mayapple (Podophyllum peltatum), an antitumor agent.
Quinidine: Cinchona tree (Cinchona ledgeriana), an antiarrhythmic.
Scopolamine: Datura species, a sedative and anticholinergic for motion sickness.
Colchicine: Autumn crocus (Colchicum autumnale), for treating gout and as an antitumor agent.
Physostigmine: Calabar bean (Physostigma venenosum), a cholinesterase inhibitor for glaucoma.
Curcumin: Turmeric (Curcuma longa), a choleretic with anti-inflammatory properties.
Bromelain: Pineapple (Ananas comosus), an anti-inflammatory and proteolytic enzyme.
This list focuses on well-established examples; there are over 100 known plant-derived compounds used in modern medicine, often as the basis for synthetic versions.
Who knows when you may have to wait ages to see a doctor (if ever) A little help may be welcome.
One thing you have to be careful of is, if you are taking pharmaceutical drugs, is how these interact with these remedies. Turmeric for example, is not good for me.
I ordered two.($37USD ea) That was why it was so expensive. Its a nice book well bound and printed. Just part of my library or if you like First Aid Kit for when the internet may not be available out back.

Aspirin is another, but the majority of this "holistic medicine" is just rubbish. And the reason that none of this rubbish is subjected to genuine, rigorous double-blind testing is that its purveyors don't want it to be officially exposed as the quackery that it is. Herbal "medicine" is big business, probably even bigger than "Big Pharma", especially now that an antivaxxer lunatic is running the show in the US. Do yourself a favour and get your information from doctors, ie medical experts, not from uneducated bozos. Your health and well-being, and even your life, may depend on it.

Why buy this drug from Big Pharma when you can get it "holistically" directly from the yew tree?

You are a very sick man. To mock a woman going through chemotherapy is very poor taste. You totally missed the point.
You are putting words in my mouth ... again. Your wife is prudently entrusting her life to tested pharmaceutical medicines, not holistic quackery. Sure, that particular medicine has plant origins, but the efficacy of its active ingredient has been scientifically proven and the appropriate dosages have been scientifically determined. The fact is that no sensible person will gamble with their lives by getting their medical advice from an unqualified source.

In October 2003, Jobs was diagnosed with cancer. In mid 2004, he announced to his employees that he had a cancerous tumor in his pancreas.[172] The prognosis for pancreatic cancer is very poor;[173] however, Jobs stated that he had a rare, less aggressive type, known as islet cell neuroendocrine tumor.[172]
Jobs resisted his doctors' recommendations for medical intervention for nine months,[174] in favor of alternative medicine. However, cancer researcher and alternative medicine critic David Gorski wrote that "it's impossible to know whether and by how much he might have decreased his chances of surviving his cancer through his flirtation with woo. My best guess was that Jobs probably only modestly decreased his chances of survival, if that."[175][176]Barrie R. Cassileth, the chief of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center's integrative medicine department,[177] on the other hand, said, "Jobs's faith in alternative medicine likely cost him his life ... He had the only kind of pancreatic cancer that is treatable and curable ... He essentially committed suicide."[178]
