There are thousands.
Which things interest you and where? As a spectator or as a participant? Free or paid? Day events or week?
Cheers,
Peter

Just saw the prices for Mundi Mundi and nearly died. $750 per person $180 per car if you want to checkin early to beat the rush. Wow

Visitor Information Centers usually have brochures and booklets with information on tourist attractions in their shires.

That sounds ridiculous.  it is 3 days though.  What do you get?  3 days of crowded regimented camping without a blade of grass or tree. Music.  Some of the artists are/were pretty good.  Doesn't say how long the music is on.  Weather in August out there could be quite warm. No where nearby to go for a swim.  Nah.  I could think of a better way to spend about a $1000 dollars. (This is only concert fees.)  How about costs of getting there. Food while you are there.  I am sure there are numerous outlets as high prices available.

Makes my winge about Mystery Bay Camping at $56 a night for two people sound not too bad.

Try researching through here to start with. I gather you may be after recommendations, but how long is a piece of string, and everyones likes are someone elses dislikes.

www.visitnsw.com/destinations/outback-nsw/events

There are similar pages for all other states.

Good luck

We like to get out and see things.

But we try to pick things that are free.

Wild flowers are not on the list.

Neither are big crowds.

These days walking is a task.

So, what suits one will not suit another. Costs will dictate. As will the calendar.

Just got in from 4 months in Qld.

Thought I would see what you may have found in Mystery Bay - is that the spot in NSW east of Canberra?

The last time we were there about 2 years ago it was $25 for the two of us.

$56 is a theft and we wouldn't go near the place. Can't understand it.

ps - just had a look at Wiki - latest cost entry is $26 unpowered?
