Poptop annexe ?

Im looking at putting an annexe on our poptop, but use shade cloth front and sides.

i am aware I can purchase anti flap bars for the side which clamps onto the awning and has a rope track for the side to slide into.

has anyone had actual experience in doing this and is there anything I need to be aware of?

also, is there a side (end) awning out which can actually extend over the caravan tunnel , which I have a slide out cooker and the. Come down, so I can stay Out if the rain when cooking ?

Have full length anti flap bars on the sides of our Fiama awning on our Sprinter campervan, that can take a side wall. I had a sidewall setup made out of heavy black shade cloth, with velcro to fit around the pole next to the sprinter and the front leg/pole of the awning. Quick to setup.

I am not impressed with the Fiama clamping of the awning, and wonder how it would go in windy weather. Have a wide strap ( across Middle of awning) that could be peged down to hold the awning from Flapping but the weak AL Anti Flap Bars would just bend/break, so have never used it.

Peter what do you mean by pole next to the sprinter? I also use Fiamma F45S and locally sourced AFK. Have slide in privacy screens that slide into the AFK. Fixing the screen to the top is always a PITA. If uou are worried about the wind breaking something, the awning shouldn't be out.

Do not have a problem fitting the side screen to the Anti Flap bar, feed from the centre.

I do not want clips or track down the side of the Sprinter, to hold the side curtain, hence the pole. Originally for privacy and when at CMCA rallies to stop, attendees walking under our awning as a short cut to go somewhere.

And do not have the awning out when its windy. ( unlike the Aussie Traveller which is very robust, but the one I helped erect took a lot longer to setup.)
