The real cost of net zero

The real cost of net non-zero will become apparent after all of us are dead. So why should we care? (I don't, but for different reasons.)

Instead of listening to a bunch of right-wing talking heads, listen to the scientists who actually understand the subject. Then make up your mind. That is not to say that your opinion, or mine, are of any value, anyway.

I wonder if you actually took the time to watch the doco, because your post smacks like an emu with its head in the sand, not wanting to listen to evidence that may require you question what we are being told.

One question that boggles the reality of the cost of renewables, why does the state with almost total deoendancy on the cheoest form of power have the highest power prices in Australia. Yes South Australia is the state, when the sun dont shine and the wind dont blow it relies on 2 interstate interconnectors,

I do read right wing publications, but only those that are produced by intelligent, trustworthy commentators. Intelligence and truth are commodities which are in short supply in Murdoch's media. Yes, I did once give Sky News a go, but it quickly became apparent that I was wasting my time.

On the subject of climate change, there is nothing more to talk about that hasn't already been discussed. As I understand it, it's either bite the bullet and pay now, or suffer the consequences and pay a lot more later.

Correct Gundog. We live in the golden age of bs where ideology rules over science. The CSIRO is one of the main opponents of nuclear power.

It's not so much the individual people that annoy me, although there is that too, but it's the culture of the organisation that I despise. For example, if the ABC were to hire someone like Alan Jones, I would switch off the TV, disconnect the Internet, and put a bullet in my brain.

In America, Fox News paid out $1bn in damages to a voting machine company for lying about their product, and they shamelessly gave oxygen to Trump's stop-the-steal lies, which provoked a deadly insurrection. In the UK, Murdoch's group engaged a private investigator to hack into people's phones. It's a repugnant organisation with zero integrity and zero credibility.

A great example. Perhaps Sky should sue him for the false statement about lying. There is a difference between lying and not being able to prove a statement.

In Australia we only have the media to tell us how bad the "soon to be president again" was/is (except Sky). In the US they had the same swill from the media, and probably worse. But despite that they have seen how bad the left has been for the country. They know who will do the best job as president. They know how good he was for the country. So despite the media swill, he won in a landslide with the trifecta of president, senate and house AND the popular vote.
