Broken Hill to Noccundra

Travelled from Broken Hill to Noccundra on the 28/10/24 in a Ford Ranger towing a Golf Bush Challenger 2 camper trailer. Broken Hill to Tibooburra, all bitumen and good quality. Tibooburra to Cameron Corner the dirt wad pretty good, get upto 80 km/h in places average of around 70km/h. Cameron Corner to Noccundra, that is where the fun started. 40 kms north of the Corner the road is still blocked, and sent on a detour left at the Omicron Rd then right on to the Moomba Rd next was a left on the Nappa Marrie-Santos Rd then a right on to the Bransby - Santos rd. Follow that on for a while then take a left on the Noccundra-Warri gate Rd and follow into Noccundra. Some of these roads were quite rough and some big gravel getting tossed up, so a Stone Stomper or such is a must. All up about 11 hrs in the saddle. Average speed from the Corner to the bitumen before Noccundra was around 50km/h. Had some minor damage to both car and trailer. Dusty ad he'll, so hopeful to God your air tight or have a dust suppression unit.

Thanks. Anyone know why the road is blocked?

There has been a lot of road damage out in that area. Some roads have deep, dangerous ruts in them and the road is closed until they repair it. Others are closed whilst they are working on them. See the roads websites like Qld Traffic.

Old mate at Cameron Corner told us the lake out there was only 400 mtrs wide now, was 12kms at one stage, so my guess is the road is still to wet and boggy.
