Kingscliff to Stanthorpe

Anybody able to give some advice on the best way to go from Tweed Heads to stanthorpe (Road conditions, towing van)

Google wants to take me via Cullendore. Wondering if that's the best.

Thanks

Have look at this map. My preferred route is the one through Boonah - (the 262 km long one.) It has a lot of twists and turns along it, but it is two lanes along the whole route. The route through Kyogle and Woodenbong had some very rough bitumen road to the west of Woodenbong last time I travelled it that I would not tow across again. The road through Brisbane still has the climb up Cunningham's gap that my preferred route does but I would rather slow down and drive the twisty road than travel the 45 minutes extra to get the straighter road. Whilst the gravel road through Cullendore is generally in good shape, It's the bit between Woodenbong and Legume that puts me off that route, not the gravel top section.

Thanks Peter. I think your talking about the route through Canungra & Beaudesert right?

I think it gets a bit tight in places, but Sounds alright to me.

Much appreciate it.

Yes, if you open the map I gave the link to, Boonah is the town that shows up on most browsers. Once the map is open, you can zoom in and see every village along the route.
