My new Surburban HWS is due to be delivered today.
I am thinking of using a work around to solve an issue, instead of connecting John Guest hose and fitting directly to the water inlet and outlet, would it be feasible to use stainless steel braided hose and then connect to JG.
The reason I am thinking about this idea is where the Hws is located, you need to be a bloody contortionist to replace JG hose in it gets a pin hole.
FYI the Hws being replaced is 240v only it has only lasted 5 years because of the bore water, an annode generally lasts about 6 months.
Fortunately, the heater in my Evernew was plumbed in with copper tubing so no worries on that front.
With respect of poly-tube plumbing installed by unskilled labour at most manufacturers, it is not unusual for failures to occur that can have catastrophic effects in confined areas. It is normally not the product that fails but rather the faulty installation.
