I raised the issue of transitioning from a caravan to a Motorhome in a previous post and thanks to everyone who gave great advice.
The trouble is, virtually every Motorhome I have looked at has a huge amount of extremely negative consumer reviews based on their personal experiences.
People generally say that once you buy the Motorhome, dealers are not interested in providing warranty support and you have to go round and round in circles over sometimes many years to get something fixed under warranty.
I really liked the Sunliner range, especially the Habitat model, until I started googling consumer reviews and consumer comments re warranty claims and dealer apathy in honoring these legal claims was appalling.
Then I googled consumer reviews on other leading brands such as Avida, Winnebago etc and the negative comments were almost identical.
Does anyone have a modern 2022/2023/2024 Motorhome that they would honestly say is not a piece of crap and that the dealer network supports.
And just for the record the range of negative comments on Jayco Motorhomes is almost longer than the novel, War and Peace"!

I have bought 2 new Jaycos caravans, 1 new Coromal caravan and recently, a new Avan motorhome. I had some warranty problems with the caravans which were attended to reasonably well by agents. I'm very pleased with the build quality of the Avan motorhome and a couple of problems, fridge not working properly and fridge wired incorrectly (2 separate problems) have both been fixed without delay. Perhaps I've been lucky. I'm certainly happy with the Avan motorhome but I haven't had it long enough or done enough milage in it to be sure it's the bee's knees.

Have a look at Wirraway Motorhomes. Built in Mildura, Vic and same (family) owner for 20 + yrs.
Not the cheapest but high repeat business so must be doing something right!
Hope so, as we take delivery of a new one in Dec 2024.

I had a Trakka Jabiru for six years from new until we had to sell it owing to our medical challenges. Had a small water leak near the top hatch during a large storm near Melbourne. Trakka repaired it as soon as I could get it to them. They installed a complete new roof lining. No other issues with the van. Their help was greatly appreciated.

I have had two motorhomes, the first I purchased in 2015 and kept for almost 6 years. It was an English build Autotrail built on a Fiat Ducato. The second and current is a 2020 Adria Coral built in Slovenia & also on a Fiat Ducato cab/chassis. Both Fiats had ZERO warranty issues despite what I had read and heard. The Autotrail was generally a good vehicle let down by their window Flyscreen/shade supplier. Support from the local importer Elite RV was excellent with good local stocked parts backup.The Adria IMHO is a marginally better built vehicle than the AT. The local importer THL Apollo does not in my experience support the Adria brand as well as Elite RV did the AT. Having said that I am considering purchasing a smaller Adria campervan after looking at all the local options. Problems with the Adria have been minimal. Hope this helps.if you need more info pm me.
