Port Macquarie to Moree

We want to travel to Moree from Port Macquarie Walcha hwy is still closed during the day for traffic, so we are looking at going via coffs. We only have a 1.6 ton poptop Any comments or thoughts please about that route.

Very doable drive to Dorrigo, head towards Admirals turning right to Guys then onto Inverell, Moree.

An option is upto Grafton to Glen Innes perhaps an easier option but a bit longer.

Enjoy the experiences.

Have you gone yet? The trip is over 6 hours driving. I would be taking an overnight stop. If so, drive through after the road opens at 4:30 and camp at Walcha. You could get there before sundown.

The first 60 kms after Wauchope is pretty bendy but after that it is alright.
