Make sure it is not encumbered financially. Bit of a bugger if it is claimed by a finance company after you pay out. That is if buying privately, probably not such a big issue if dealing with a reputable dealer. But then these days you can't be to careful.

It is imperative that a weighbridge check is carried out prior to purchase - many caravans are almost at their ATM before putting in food and clothing - This happens because water/gas/awnings/jerry can holders/Generators and Tong boxes, jockey wheels, off-road tyres, etc have been added after compliance plate is fittted either by Dealer or previous owner/s.
