There are plenty in Qld, they are referred to as over 50s or manufactured homes village. Actual retirment villages dont have motor home paking along side your house but usually have a seperate secure parking area. Depends where you wish to live.

Welcome to the Forum Peter.
I am aware of an Over 55's Lifestyle Village in Toronto NSW - That has area designated permanent parking for vans and Motorhomes in the complex as well as small garages attached to 2 BR units. Can't remember the name but it is ?????? Gardens.

I saw one in south Australia 10 years ago, with a carport beside the villa. With a high roof. They do exist.

RV homebase in Maryborough Qld. Every house has garage attached to the house, average size 16m x6 with 3.6 metre doorway.

Plenty of open space, no colour bond fences, large caravan wash bay, happy hour hut with fire pit. etc. Built for people with caravans and motorhomes and there some big ones here.

We had placed a deposit for a site off the plan in stage 3 of a Living Gem retirement village. When stage 3 was starting we contacted the management and were told that we did not have a site in our name. the dirty so and so had given our site to a friend of theirs and they had started to build the home on the site. They offered us another site which was nowhere near as good as our original choice from off the plan. So we very nicely told what they good do the new offer. It took a lot of persuasion to gain a refund on our deposit which we gained some 3 months later. Our legal adviser said that our deposit was only an intent to have our home built and that we would be spending good money to no avail.
I guess that it was just another stumbling block in life.

We are moving to a Lifestyle Village in Hervey Bay in a couple of weeks. Yes we own the house but not the land and will effectively be leasing the land. ...no Stamp Duty which is a huge bonus. The house has a 10m x 6.5m x 3.2m garage with full width front roller door, as well as an additional 8m x 2.8m concrete pad behind the garage accessible by another large roller door at the rear. Suits us fine as we can store the caravan under cover as well as the cars and what ever else we wish to store...

A good choice for those who intend to continue caravanning for a while. Have heard good reports from people who have chosen Hervey Bay . Enjoy.

We move into a lifestyle Village in 2 to 3 weeks but one that has a proposed Caravan Parking area (at extra cost of course). We will likely finish caravanning in the next 2 yrs at most. I think that it is perhaps not wise for an 85 YO to be barrelling down the highway in an ageing 5 to 6 ton rig & I don't want to outlay the cash to upgrade just for a couple of years. A different sort of touring regime for us.
