looking for expats in Trieste and Slovenia

I'm looking to exchange information with any ex pats living in Trieste, Italy and/or Kopar and Ljubljana, Slovenia. I visited both countries this past March 2023 and fell in love with Trieste. I was fortunate to find three very good day trips from Trieste to Lake Bled, Ljubljana as well as Postonjna Cave. There is so much to be recommended in Slovenia. I will be in Trieste for a short week 2/2/24-2/7/24 to further explore and talk with real estate agents, tax specialists and lawyers to help inform a plan to retire from the U.S. to the Continent. Any comments, suggestions, recommendations are greatly appreciated. Also if anyone was available to meet up in Trieste or Ljubljana it would be great to connect.

Last time when i visit Ljubljana last year and loved canyoning in Bled. The people are friendly, and the scenery is stunning. I wish you the best of luck with your exploration and potential retirement there.
