Dust proofing external fridge vents

We replaced our 3 way fridge with a 12v bushman and wish to improve the vents to decrease the dust entering these. Has anyone found a suitable dust filter for this?

A bit of information here:

https://thegreynomads.activeboard.com/t65059593/extra-fridge-insulation-wattage-test/

Basically rip out the rubbish fan installed by the manufacturer. Replace with Noctura industrial fan, higher volume, higher pressure & less amps.

I used some Whites gutter guard from Bunnings to add a filter (see down thread link (open cell foam)) trimmed to fit fridge. But install a quality fan or two. I have an old filter from a Daikin air conditioner which I am looking at repurposing.

Blow out the fridge with air gun, I do it after every outback trip, but I do have 3 ARB compressors in parallel.

Nothing better than high volume high pressure onboard air in the outback to pump up tyres quickly & clean car & also for venturi water cleaning (including showers).

An After Cooler using two small oil coolers at the end of your compressor which you can drop in your fridge will dry out our air. Nothing better than reducing the 7 x atmospheric water content from compressed air than a fridge/freezer.

But at the end of the day an air compressor to blow out dust works a treat.

A 12V compressor fridge does not need to be vented outside at all.
No outside vents = no possibility of dust.
Permanently close and seal the vents and make sure that the compressor and condenser are well vented to the inside of the van.
Cheers,
Peter

Is your new fridge an upright version with vents on the side of the van/motorhome or a chest type?
Size?
If the former I'm happy to discuss our setup with the vents completely removed and covered with 3mm white polycarbonate sheeting. No dust involved. smile

Unless you get this much dust in the vehicle.

It is surprising how much dust, dirt & hair collects over time. A bit like not vacuuming the house, you will notice over time.
