Alice Springs Stopover

Hi all, Well be passing through in a few days and looking for some place safe to stop for two nights with a caravan and swag for our teenager. Any recommendations from anyone would be appreciated. Mark

Just spend ten days there split over two stays, and no problems. It's fairly subdued at the moment. We stayed at the G'Day Mate park, which is pretty good value for $45 powered and not hard to get into. I'd recommend it highly, locked gates and noi sign of trouble and next to the brewery. If you're concerned there are two parks about 10kms to the west, but they're more like bush camps than caravan parks. We had one night at Wingardi (sp?) and it was a lovely setting. I'd stay there if you want a bush setting by a creek and between cliffs, rather then for security.
