Dometic weaco cfx75 Dual zone problem

Hi Brains trust,

I have a Dometic weaco cfx75 Dual zone - i noticed the light in one side was flashing and have determined this is indicating that the lid for that side has 'been open for more then 3 minutes' even though the lid is latching shut properly.

I connected the fridge to the app and i can see that it is reading the lid as being open constantly.

The other side lid is working perfectly and i can see it open and close on the app as i use it, and its light goes on and off as it should.

Does anyone know where the lid open switch/sensor is located? ( it is the side nearest the control panel)

I am assuming its a magnetic switch as i cant find any physical buttons.

If you had a photo of which panel i had to remove to get to the switch it would be great!

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum Burto, I'm sure one of the techo's on here will know. - As a thought have you tried activating the magnetic switch with a portable magnet running around the rim.

Hi and thank you,

I tried running a fridge magnet around the lip and had no success - it also didn't activate the known working side, so potentially a very weak fridge magnet was used. i will try again with a stronger magnet.

Thank you.

To get into the top PCB you aparently have to remove the Membrane to get acess. The main PCB picture i have marked where aparently the 2 lamps are fed power. Pictures are from Allvolts power solutions & they sell the parts in the pictures. Would be interesting to see whats on the other side of the Main PCB. Sugest you start following the apropriate wiring. Or take it to a dealer/repairer.

Hi Brains Trust,

For anyone interested i have solved the problem -

Found a broken wire pulled out of a plug in the switch loom, have bypassed the plug and all is working properly.

Thank you Debe for showing me which loom to trace!

Cheers!
