Donald - Victoria

Seeking views regarding camping at Browns Lake (Lake Cope Cope) and Lake Batyo Catyo.

Both camps are listed as free camps with no time restrictions.

Batyo Catyo was a great place a few years ago, they built new shower block with coin operation - unfortunately vandals and thieves destroyed coin boxes and shower fittings - plenty of carp in the water, great fun catching, but I won't eat them. Catching the carp is good for the environment, just ensure you burn them in the fire every night before bed.

Definitely a quiet peaceful camp right on the water.

There used to be a chap in converted bus acting as caretaker, replenishing toilet paper, etc. - He was pretty good at working out solar problems as well.

Thanks Possum, heading that way in October to check out lakeside camping sites and using Donald as my go to replenishment centre.
