Recurve Diesel tuning

Does anybody have any experience with the Recurve tuning modules? It is my understanding that they come preprogrammed for your vehicle with 5 user selectable programmes that you can change by plugging in the module and altering your cars ECU mapping. One of the programmes is standard setting so if not towing you can reset the vehicle to standard. About $1500 so not a cheap product so would like to know any feed back......https://recurve.com.au/

I am unfamiliar with the module you refer to but I am aware that there are some "chips" when fitted can tickle a few extra HP out of a diesel motor. I believe Berrima Diesel are the best in the game for such things.

Personally, I have never bothered to have my vehicle chipped as I am satisfied with original factory settings, not to mention losing warranty.

I now have extra HP by changing vehicle to Y62 Series 5 Patrol with 5.6 litre V8.
I went this way as I believe the boosting of 2/3 litre diesels with turbos etc is a recipe for problems. After all, vehicle manufacturers should know how to get peak performance without adding extra straw to the camel.

What sort of vehicle do you have?. I had a chip and upgraded to a full ECU remap. Depending on the vehicle,

going back to factory setting may not be an option. Sounds like a chip type of upgrade as opposed to an

actual remap of ECU. Will get better understanding when you divulge your vehicle.

BTW those no sayers have never experienced either and some are genuinely happy with their

vehicle as is. Personally happy with the remap. More power, more torque and lower fuel consumption.

Remap walks all over a chip. Gained 25% more power, 45% more torque and I get 5.8km/litre (17 litres/100km) running 6800kg GCM in Landcruiser V8 Diesel.

If Dean lives anywhere near Brisbane I have a good contact there, but he also has branches in other states. Cheers

Don't mean to hijack the thread but i have a spread sheet which I keep to monitor fuel

consumption. Makes it easy to detect any anomaly. Landcruiser V8 Diesel, just an ARB bullbar

rest is stock, regularly 10.5 - 11l/100 not towing with a remapped ECU with a race tunes which I did not

ask for. I asked for a towing tune, the nerd could not help himself. 295Kw & 1200Nm at the wheels.

 Hi yobarr

I am interested in a remap and a full transmission flush (LC200) and I am looking for a shop to do it. Would you mind sharing the contact?

Cheers Paul
