No ABC for the BUsh ?, No cheque book accounts hacked

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-09/abc-five-year-plan-to-accelerate-digital-transition/102460122

We All embrass digital, and digital radio in the 10 sq km it works in Australia. Sounds like Our ABC man should try to get digital tv or radio outside of his Sydney hideaway.

Jim Chalmers wants to get rid of cheques. But, How many cheque accoounts get hacked by a scammer ringing your mobile whilst in the suoermarket ?

Let help them by cutting their budge to about 250 million for a shut down crew to come in and remove the whole kit and caboodle.

No one will miss them

Very limited brain capacity. Only thinks of himself and his buddies/mates on the same wage as him. Damn disgrace

I agree. It's not like he was left a trillion dollars in debt or anything like that.

Well it's Sunday today. Perhaps we could all go down to that church your lot gave the 100 million to and ask Brother Stuart to say a few words for us. If we are really lucky, and if he is not too busy doing all those other roles that he has, Ministry Man might turn up and lay his hands on us and give us a few chords on the ukulele.

Wouldn't that be great, hey?  biggrinbiggrin

I watched a bit of Senate estimates on youtube involving the ABC bosses, boy no wonder the ABC is a morally bankrupt when the tail wags the dog. All the bosses did was defend the $hit show biased lefty rubbish.

I was with a credit union. They said they are no longer doing & will not accept cheques. Opened up a CBA account last year & requested cheque book, took 3 months to arrive. Shortly after got a letter from CBA that they are no longer issuing new cheque books. When I run out that's it.

The levy notice for our block of units cannot pay by cash or cheque anymore, I had a hugh fight with the administration company (just a note, I do many thousands of dollars every year in free labour for maintenance on our building, but that doesn't count!).

A couple if weeks ago bought an item for $6.60. They wouldn't take cash. I left the exact amount on the counter & walked out the shop with item & said your have the money & you sort it out. Not going back there ever again.

I think in previous years it was full of lefties but over the last five to ten years it is home for all of the old Murdoch brigade. Insiders, Radio National Breakfast. Afternoon Agenda and the 7.30 Report are all just SKY Light promoting their Govt In Exile. No wonder their ratings are in the cellar.

Here is a link with a news article about some vehicles not having AM radio.

https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial/details/could-am-radio-in-cars-be-on-the-way-out-140850/

It is not the only source. There are several other sources with a similar story. The story also mentions that USA uses AM radio for broadcasts during emergencies.

Poor Auntie

The ABC is expected to announce as many as 100 job cuts on Thursday, before a major restructure of the corporation kicking in on 1 July.

Guardian Australia understands some ABC staff have been notified of meetings with management and the managing director, David Anderson, will be making an announcement about job cuts before the end of the financial year.

The ABC is diverting resources away from traditional broadcasting towards improving its digital platforms ABC iview, ABC Listen and ABC News and promoting their use as part of its five-year plan, released on Friday.

The ABC declined to comment.
