Projecta PM335 question.

Considering the purchase of a Jayco Journey Outback. Reading the specs on the Projecta PM335 battery controller, it says that the Lithium Battery Charge cutout is set to 30% of the battery capacity. I read that as saying that the battery is only charged to 75% of its capacity. Anyone know anything on that?

For Lithium batteries the charge current is set to 30% of the battery capacity (0.3C)

This means that for example if your battery capacity is 120Ah then a charge current of 1C is 120A and a charge current of 0.3C = 0.3 x 120 = 36A.

The battery will be charged to its full capacity but the bulk charge current is limited to 36A.

Hi Ian a
I have the 335. It will charge on solar, and 240 v to a maximum of 30a. This is its maximum.

Yes, If the max output of the 335 is 30A, then if 0.3C of the battery bank is greater than 30A (eg 36A), the 335 will only be able to charge at its maximum rated output of 30A.
