Bear Facts for Juniors

Came across this little gem whilst searching google for Bears.

Only eight types of bear exist. They live in a wide variety of locations throughout the Northern Hemisphere which is north of the equator and partly in the Southern Hemisphere which is south of the equator. Bears are found in parts of North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

It's interesting that it comes from this publication by a local government body in the UK:

https://cumbria.gov.uk/elibrary/Content/Internet/544/6041/17849/43310144740.PDF

It appears that its author rephrased this Wikipedia article to make it easier for juniors to comprehend:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bear

Although only eight species of bears are extant, they are widespread, appearing in a wide variety of habitats throughout the Northern Hemisphere and partially in the Southern Hemisphere. Bears are found on the continents of North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
