maids,
I'm certain you'll find somewhere to put your stuff. We have our Glen20 in a drawer along with other miscellaneous gear (silicon spray for zippers, fly spray, a couple of often used tools, awning anti-flappers, etc). The only bits that go in the shower enclosure when we travel are the toilet brush, the bag already mentioned & the toilet roll.
We're both aware of weight in our single axled van so the pantry doesn't have any heavy tins, jars. On my 70th birthday, I spent some of the day rebuilding the pantry, getting rid of the roll-out, space robbing unit. A small sheet of plywood, some dowel & some small plastic trays fixed the problem.
Odds & sods are kept to a minimum. I read somewhere that every item carried in the van should have more than one use - if it doesn't, leave it home unless it's essential. I used to carry 3 portable 20w solar panels under Pat's bed. As they weighed more than a modern fixed 60w panel, they have become redundant for the time being.
