Were photos taken from a position near "Highfield House". The original farm of the Van Dieman's Land Company back in early settlement days - you can pay for a tour through the historic home.
Taken at small parking bay at " old gates entrance" 99% sure. These forwarded to me, taken from a Facebook group who apparently follow " lights" around Tassie.
We used to often see them in 1960's looking West/South West from our house in Marine Esplanade in Stanley, looking over the Green Hills.
Had friends who actually lived at Highfield also in 60's, so it was a free tour then.
