Howdy, am intending heading west from SA in the next few days, but just wanted to check whether the wildflowers are still putting on a show. Any advice greatly appreciated Thanks
G'day Cathy,
From our experience a few years ago - yes some go off, but others come into bloom too. It is a never-ending spectacle of colours, both large & small flowers on ground covers, bushes, & trees. In SW WA watch where you put your feet as there are some very small ground orchids too. The Stirling Ranges are really worth a look.
One of the former WA Telstra techs who I met at Eucla was into lichens - there is quite a lot of them too.
I hope you have a good trip. Don't be in a rush, enjoy the walks.

We just spent a week around the Ravensthorpe area including the Fitzgerald reserve. Lots of wildflowers to be seen including the Ravy wildflower show advertised as the biggest in the world . Very impressive.
