Welcome Popa G

Do a search for Lithium Batteries on this forum.

This has been extensively covered recently and further in the past.

There are a lot of threads on this subject just use the search function.

Have a look at this before you burn money pointlessly:

It really depends on what sort of travelling you are planning on doing, maybe I would do a few trips first just to see if you need Lithium.
As you have found out, they are not cheap, so ask yourself ...."do I really need them"?
You may find the AGMs work fine for your needs, and save $3k

Ok, lithium is worth every penny but I see that you have already purchased a van with two AGMs.  I was in a similar position as yours when I purchased my van back last year and got a quote to change the 2 x 100Ah batteries to 1 x 100Ah lithium.  I was quoted over $2,700 and they were trying to charge me for items that I didnt need when the items specified in the van were adequate for lithium.  Anyway I did my own research and built my own batteries but that is not for everyone.

Cost - yes Lithium is more expensive but the lifespan is greater.  Plenty of quotes of 2000 and more cycles depending the depth of discharge and charging.  At the end of that so called lifespan the batteries will supposedly still have 80% capacity.  You can pay a fortune for some batteries and not so much for others but at the end of the day many will have cells inside that are from the same manufacturer.  Personally I would always  buy a battery which has a BMS with bluetooth and then you can monitor the cells.  99% of the time it will be the BMS ( battery management system that failed and not the cells.

Capacity - Lithium gives approximately twice the capacity of Ahs to AGMs but that is dependent on the BMS settings.  You currently have 120Ah of capacity but with lithium in theory you have 240Ah.   However, the BMS may have been set so that you have 75% or 180Ah.

Weight - your AGMs weigh approximately 29Kg so total 59Kg as opposed to 20Kg for the lithiums. Most would come in around 24Kg in total.

Before you look t buying the kit, which there are a few more cables required to install it.  What do you currently have installed in your van?

If you have hydraulic levelling legs or slide out make sure the lithium can provide enough power, no vol5age drop other wise they will cut out. Mate had to add a second 120 ah lithium to be able to put the legs down. Also a proper lithium charger is 4equired for reliable operation.

This is my experience with lithium batteries. I have 350amph of agm batteries and was keen to change to something lighter. Not happening now.

I have no idea of the current draw for the hydraulic legs but in all probability they may have been exceeding the current limitations of the BMS (battery management system).  Many lithium cells now have a 1C discharge and charge rate so many battery manufacturers will size the BMS to capacity of the battery but then there are still lithium batteries around with a 0.5C discharge and charge rate.

The question that may have needed to be asked is whether the battery installer choose the appropriate battery to drive any motors.

Gary, itech world sounds good, however do your research first as you may save many dollars.
