Last Thursday I attended the 65th anniversary dinner for the 1957 intake of PMG trainee technicians. And as the Melbourne dealer for Snowy River caravans was on my route I called in on may way home and ordered the Snowy Mountain 20 foot caravan. It will come with an extra 200W solar panel and two 120ah lithium batteries. Also it will have a compressor fridge rather than the standard vacuum fridge.
I asked for a pensioners discount and they knocked about $250 off, rounding the price down to $65,000.
The saleswoman did mention that the price was going up the next day which I ignored as I was intending to buy and even if true wasn't an incentive to hurry my purchase.
The new advertised price is $65,000, she wasn't kidding and I am chuffed because with computers and other electronic products the price usually comes down after you buy it.
One of our regular contributors (Mike Harding) is an Snowy River owner that would probably be of assistance in solving or preventing pre delivery problems - He can be very helpful when asked.

Great to be starting out in a brand new van. Enjoy.
BTW .. I too was a 1957 PMG Tech in Training. In my case one of 200+ in Queensland & about 600 Australia wide. Our last reunion was our 50th. I finished up at XMAS 1998 after a most enjoyable working life. There are a few other regular exTITs on this forum.
You will be pleased to hear I have been living in my Snowy River SR-19 full time for over 3.5 years and two or three minor (and I do mean minor) gripes aside I am happy with it and nothing of consequence has failed. If it burnt down tomorrow I would buy another.
However, I would draw your attention to this post I made a while back:
