The outlet plumbing pipe from the shower under the caravan has a bladder in a part of the pipe. This bladder seems to stick together quite often which prevents the shower from draining. The bladder is accessible by disconnecting part of the plumbing and freeing up the bladder by hand, which is inconvenient. Any ideas please on how to stop the bladder from sticking to itself. That bladder thingy is really necessary, one is stop smells coming back up the drain pipe, 2 the bladder thingy needs an occasional clean.
My first thoughts are that it is not fitted the right way round.
My caravan does not have a bladder thingy. It has a downward bow in the 25mm pipe under the van from the shower floor before it connects to the main 40mm line. This acts as an S bend like in normal plumbing to prevent smells. In saying that I did however have a problem with a slow draining shower, so I installed a breather pipe, a T piece if you like, where my grey water hose attaches to the van. No more slow shower draining. Its called the Venturi Principle and can actually make water run uphill. Google Venturi Principle.
