Hi all Nomads. We have a Jayco Destiny with a light brown rippled front that has faded badly and I would like to paint it but not sure what to use.
Does anyone have any suggestions please.

First off I did a lot of asking around about paint to apply to the front vinyl and I have a brother who is very experienced with these sort of matters, he worked for a bus company and they had lots of vinyl repairs, the expense and the trouble was sort of put in the "to hard basket" for this layman.
But one day I was touching up a bit of waterbased heritage red on a fascia board then walked pass the front of the caravan with a wet paint brush and the rest is history, 18 months latter sold that caravan and no one new any different and it looked bute.
So for me, "plain ordinary water based paint", you might bit be also shocked by this, I did not prepare the vinyl first, I just went mad with the paint brush.
I recently recoated my Pebble Guard on my Jayco. I can't say whether it is vinyl or not. It doesn't look vinyl based. I simply used some epoxy enamel metal paint that i had at home, purchased from Green Shed. I have found that paint pretty resilient. Also, easy to retouch in the future.
Masked up the section and stippled paint to the surface with a brush. No brush streaks. Painting was quicker than the masking.
Added a photo. Also freshed up the checker plate with Mr Sheen and polished the fibreglass with marine polish.

Your van looks like my van which is understandable as they are related. My Discovery is light grey where yours is light brown & it was faded, pitted. I brought it "back to life" with a Wattyl water based indoor/outdoor paint. To get a small amount, I bought a "sampler" & had it tinted to the same as the original.
Even my wife is impressed, making the job worth while!

I wouldn't be using ordinary paint of any sort on the van mate. Get some of this vinyl spray paint (see pic) or similar from autobarn or supercheap. Lot's of colours available and it's a piece of cake to apply, very forgiving and comes up a treat. I did the front of my Jayco recently and you would not know it has been done. Masking up is the hardest part. Give it a light spray all over first and then lay it on a bit heavier as you go. As I said, it is pretty easy and I had no trouble at all.

Spray can Vinyl Paint (is designed to coat vinyl) does an excellent job........Good stuff....KB
I did try some clear spray on my Jayco Westport. It was great for about a year & then started to crack. The problem now is to try to remove it & apply this stuff .. perhaps.
I'm curious - why would you use vinyl paint on this panel when it is NOT VINYL coated - as were the older caravans?
I live in Townsville - the "Capital of Sunshine" as they say where the sun rots rubber quickly, more people suffer from skin cancers, melanomas - ordinary paint is holding up ok.

Thanks everyone for your advise.
In the end I decided to use Dulux Weathershield tinted to a similar colour. I have used it before and it dries to a very tough plastic like finish so hopefully it will do the job.
I forgot to take a photo before I put the van in storage but it looks great.
This Coating is not vinyl it is some sort of coating Jayco has sprayed on. As in my post above Gloss/Semigloss exterior house paint has done well and dosen't even look like breaking down. Having spent my whole life in the signwriting industry if this was vinyl then I would have gone for some sort of specialised coating. Just make sure you clean existing well and masking off makes the job a whole lot easier.
