The best insurer for caravans is CIL www.cilinsurance.com.au/ Followed by National Roads Associations (NRMA, RACV RACQ) many Nomads use Ken Tame and Shannon's as well.
All have differing features and advantages - Your requirements may differ for some reason as may your risk/s.

kdazz, just informing you that Ken Tame is an Agent for The Hollard Insurance Company (good insurer) & Shannons & CIL are part of the Suncorp Group of Companies (another good insurer). Always ask questions, and ALWAYS read your Product Disclosure Statement (previously known as the Insurance Policy) to ensure you have the cover that is important to you. In many cases, the difference in premiums can be directly related to the different risks covered. One example I came across one year was that a competitive premium from a well known insurer did not cover any Annexe or Awning, and we both know how susceptible to damage they are in any storm involving wind.
We use APIA for Van, Boat and Car, made 3 claims .... new back end on a Mitsubishi Challenger, dented/gouged passenger door, and one ripped awning on our van that was already old and fraying. No problems at all, fixed promptly and no fuss, loan car included.
