In-cab operation of the electric jockey stand.


I got sick of getting in/out of the cab a couple of times when I wanted to hook the van up. I've seen how other couples tend to get into arguments as one tries to guide the other onto the van.

Also, having a dodgy shoulder, I did away with the manual wind-up/down leg (I had a Vehicle Components leg), so bought a TREK 4,000lb electric leg. The Aussie company Black Jack has since started to use this exact electric leg too, so if you decide to do something similar, you can start with that product and just add the remote control component yourself.

Here's a short video showing it in operation. I can now do the hook-up on my own and don't have to climb in/out more than once.

It helps having 2 cameras at different angles.
