Welcome to the gang Peter, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I have had a Nighthawk for about 4 years now approx. I stream Netflix all the time on a smart TV. One thing I have found is you must push the on button so the screen on the Nighthawk is on as you turn TV on so they connect. I set the TV to link automatically. Once the TV and Nighthawk have connected it stays that way until you turn TV off.
I very rarely turn the Nighthawk off.
The other thing I do is connect my smartphone to the Nighthawk to do wifi calling if phone signal is weak. I have a external antenna connected to the Nighthawk.
I hope all that makes sense.
Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

For providing a high quality and fast data source the Nighthawk has the reputation of being one of the best, albeit a little expensive if your needs are basic. Is that all you needed to know?
Or do you mean "Can I connect the Nighthawk to my TV and that is all I need to stream Netflix?" As Dougwe said, he uses a smart TV. If you don't have a smart TV you need a Netflix capable device that connects between the Nighthawk and the TV. We typically stream from laptop via HDMI cable to the TV, just using our phones as a hotspot to provide the data source.
Of course that all depends on your chosen network and the location you are in. At my home, Telstra dies in peak times and is insufficient for Netflix, but Vodafone does really well. In another location the opposite may well apply.
While the Nighthawk is an excellent choice, if watching Netflix is the primary purpose, there are far cheaper solutions, starting with using your mobile phone as a hotspot, or a 4Gx modem ($69 at BigW) to provide much of what the Nighthawk does.

Hi Dougwe What exactly is wifi calling. Is that using credit from your mobile phone account or is it some form of netphone using your internet server. Landy

and simply let them be wrong.
It's making and receiving phone calls through your internet account. I have been doing it for a few years now and don't notice much difference in my data use.
You go into settings on your phone and turn on wifi calling then match phone to internet wifi account.
Not all phones are compatible though. I have a iPhone 12 but worked on my old iPhone 7 and a galaxy before that.
