Working on the road

Hi, first time post so unsure if this is the correct forum. My husband and I are traveling full time but looking to pick up some work along the way. We were speaking to people who receive emails with job availability etc. can anyone advise me how I go about receiving the emails? Thanks

Welcome to the gang Kaka, enjoy here and out in the playground.

Maybe check the classifieds on 'thegreynomads.com.au' web site.

Some one who maybe does what you ask will come along soon and give better info than me.

Being a full time grey nomad takes up all my time. Gee, I don't even get sick leave, annual leave, long service leave, flexi days. Not even public holidays or weekends off. Not sure why I do what I do when I think of it.

I think Scottie should pay me more too.

Keep Safe on the roads and out there.

Welcome to GN's Kaka, There are some jobs that seem to always be in demand around Caravan Parks, like Hairdressers, Dog Groomers - normally casual jobs in bakeries and coffee shops and the like want local permanent part timers.

An acquaintance of mine was a qualified butcher and he traveled Australia by advising butcher in next prospective town he was to visit that he would be in their town on such a date so if the butcher had staff that were due for holidays or needed to take 1,2,3 or 4 weeks off he could cover them. apparently he had regular butchers in small town that he did work for.

Although an Engineer, I accepted some relief teacher work whilst in NT although not a teacher but held a Train the Trainer Qualification - three month contract, great money.

So if you have or can get working with children card in the State you are visiting it can open some opportunities. Being able to fill a need is the main criteria with ability or qualifications to do the job.

Perhaps register with these, then set up a weekly or daily email. There are others.

Hi and welcome to you and your husband. Check out greynomadjobs.com  I think they might be the ones you have heard about. I get emails from them at least twice a week offering jobs, caretaking, house/farm sits. You will need to register with them. FREE.  We have had a lot of help through this service.

Not to discount Thegreynomads.com.au classifieds on this website, who have also helped us

Cheers

Dunmowin

You could try joining Workabout Australia, not expensive(used to be about $60/yr) but a very good site to be a memeber of if you are travelling and looking for work
Just google it and have a look, that costs nothing
