I can get from Ceduna to Norsmam with an additional 50L & not too much headwind, but I do stop & buy a hamburger with the lot at C0cklebiddy Roadhouse & a few goofballs for my sister!

I took 2 Jerry cans . Topped up with $80 just to be safe and give a little to roadhouse and break on the way . From memory $1.80 a litre . I never want to run out of fuel out there !! 5 days . Next time Ill stop camp for longer on the way . No hurry !
It is not worthwhile getting too hung up on price. If one pays an extra $0.50 per litre. 50 litres to get you to civilization is only an extra $25.00 better than running out!

Thanks for the prices - well be crossing in a month or two and it will help planning our fuel stops
I haven't bee across for several years, but in the 5 or more times that I did we always planned our usage to include topping up at Mundrabillia as they were always the cheaper one. It is not included on the list and when I looked at their web site they laimed cheaper fuel but didn't display current prices on the included notice board on the site.
The question arises 'are they still selling fuel'?
ps .. My petrol efi Patrol is thirsty (20L/100k towing on a good day) & has a small 80/90L tank. My strategy was to fill the tank at either Ceduna or Norseman depending on the direction I was traveling and carry 3x20L jerry cans. Watching my usage carefully I would use the jerry cans strategically & perhaps add a little at selected roadhouses along the way if necessary aiming to get to Ceduna or Norseman just comfortably. In any case a few extra dollars to help the roadhouses stay in business was no real issue in the scheme of things. I always tried to keep one 20L jerry can as an emergency back up in case of unexpected headwinds etc. using it only when close to the end of the crossing. BTW, fuel discount vouchers were available at Norseman & Ceduna.
pps. I usually carry one 20L can as an emergency holding on any outback trip.
Not so much about the cost of fuel or availability - some fuel stops have problems with internet connection (no card facility - Madura comes to mind) so it is wise to have some cash available. Also, keep your tanks topped up, you never know if the next stop has fuel. poppabare.
