12v Vacuum Sealer?

We are trying to decide between the Dometic and Australian Direct Kickass vacuum sealers.We would appreciate hearing the opinions on each.

Have you considered a small inverter and using a normal 240vlt one. I have never used a 12vlt!.
You are then not limited with 12vlt
We have an expensive one at home($500) and leave a cheaper($40) in the caravan!
Just another option

We have the Kickass model which works on 12 and 240 volts. Happy with its performance on both voltages. We have no experience with the Dometic model.
