Which carrier are you using for your data only for Ipad. We have been with Telstra for donkeys but notice there are better deals out there. Tried Optus years ago but svs was disgraceful and their PR was atrocious so vowed...NEVER AGAIN.
Thanks for all and any advice
We have one phone with Telstra and one with Optus and hotspot off them for data for our laptop, mainly using Telstra. Without doubt Telstra has the best overall coverage Australia wide, the only other one I would consider is Boost who also use the full Telstra network but without 5G access. All other Telstra resellers like Aldi, Woolworths etc only use part of the network and aren't much use away from the east coast or major cities.
I use Belong which uses the Telstra wholesale network and has provided excellent coverage across most of Victoria and southern NSW for a couple of years.
I have recently bought an Optus "Flex" SIM because Optus, nowadays, cover a number of bush areas Telstra don't wish to.
Boost are good and use the full Telstra retail network and have a offer currently of $180 for 12 months and 150GB - I use about 1GB per month.

Wife is with Boost who are terrific. Full Telstra coverage with far less hassle and at a cheaper price.
I am with Amaysim who are very good but they operate on the Optus network so the coverage is not so good. I have been considering swapping to Boost although they are slightly dearer than Amaysim.
This is my 2009 Mac Mini running 10.6.8 (the last OS Photoshop will use on my Mac without buying another upgrade).
Using Boost hotspot from my Moto G7 Plus at 5:30pm. My neighbour's landline is about a 1/5 of these speeds, up & down, as the street copper wiring should have been replaced 40 years ago according to the Telstra linesmen who I have personally spoken to on a few occasions. About a year ago they were upgrading the street copper wire..... to copper!
