Foxtel on the road

Hi everybody reading.

We are currently preparing to be on the road full time.  We own our home and currently have 2 Foxtel boxes, one at home and 1 in our motor home.  We are selling our house and want to retain the motor home Foxtel box has anybody done this.

We have no family or friends we can use as the static home address and just add another box to their account, so that is not an option.
Our concern is when we sell our house and if the new owners want to have Foxtel we all may have a problem.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

Di

I don't have a box, i have foxtel now.

I simply watch it on a mobile device, like my phone or computer, or cast it my google dongle on the t.v

Dianna,

I think you will need to be honest with Foxtel, and try to get an approval to have a mobile service, as I dont think it reasonable to expect whoever buys your home to provide the address you need for the existing service. They may agree, but I would be preparing if I were you for them not agreeing.

They may not want it now, but what about in the future? I think your cheeky saying if they want it they will have a problem. They wont. They will simply cancel the other service (yours) at their home.

With a Foxtel box you can have 5 devices connected to the Foxtel 'Go' App.  You can also subscribe to the Foxtel 'Now' App which is different and totally mobile.

These days a Foxtel IQ box is totally digital and no ID card required, they know where you are and no pirate cards work.

Cheers Bob

Thank you for your comments Ian.  I feel you have taken me out of context though.

Why not give them an anonymous call as if you were just opening an account.

they are very receptive in recent times due to competition.

I have an account with multiple boxes, and one is marked on my account as "Caravan".
I don't remember whether I told them that I was travelling - I think I did, but
do they need to know? Maybe the van is temp accommodation somewhere (?).

Foxtel GO is a spin off from a normal account whereby 6 devices can access all
paid channels on line for no additional charge. But you need a sizeable allowance
but depending on resolution you select can be fine on the smaller devices
and doesn't use anywhere as much data as you think.

You don't have a rello or friend that would add a box to their account?

B
