new camp.1.JPGWith the increase in caravaners on the road,shires should be opening new spots.Good news for the Mitta Mitta valley they going to open two new free camps.

Talking to a local farmer in the area, and he said he received a notice about opening a new free camp on a reserve abutting his property and if he had any objections .He was glad to see it happen and wanted more people coming into the valley,he was all for it.They don't want to lose the local IGA.The petrol station is now self service.

There is also another, going to be developed near Mitta on the main Hwy.that will make 3 free camps and 2 Caravan Parks between Esksdale & Mitta Mitta.Some photos on the one they have started on,I assume there will be a Long drop toilet and some fireplaces and tables.

I love it up that way. Have stayed in Omeo & fished the Mitta Mitta many times.

Yet to go up Eskdale way but got it on my to do list

 There is a great free camp up there,but it is getting very popular,but everyone looks after it,so these new ones will take the pressure off it,when they are finished.

Nice Micro brewery there now,open Fri.Sat & Sun.

Now a micro brewery will be a must visit. Some damn good ones popping up all over Vic.

Came across one in Dean recently...a fine brew.

I read the people that ran the Omeo caravan park got the flick. Like the fishing there, but also love my free camps
