or there is also the casserole, but been told you can only use the small one

any info will be great

I had a 120 back at home base but gave it to my daughter when sold up. I use my Baby Q most nights though now. I found that you can use the smaller things in the larger Q's but that is obvious. When it comes to using say the Family Q things in say your 120 Q it won't fit as the 120 won't fit the Baby Q and so on.

Mmm, I'm confused now. So, to clear that up. I spose in one word... NO. So I believe anyway.

Maybe go to a Q supplier and try the big one in the 120. To be sure to be sure.

Edit....Sorry David I forgot to say Hi, so, Hi. Naughty me.

Hey Cowboy, why do want a frypan? We have the solid plate that we alternate with the grill plate, depends on what you are cooking.

Steak, sausages, bacon and eggs on the solid plate.........Roast chicken, beef or pork on the grille plate on a trivet rack in a foil tray, mmmmm pork crackle !!!!

Cheers Bob

Hay bobdown,

Do you know if you can use the grill plate you pictured, with the hood up like a normal BBQ.

Hi Bob,

We elected not to have an oven in our van because we have both the frypan and casserole dish. Have made casseroles, quiches, cakes, desserts (eg apple crumble) and they have been great. Terrific recipes online for both.   Frypan for bacon and eggs etc is great and we don't need to clean off the hot plate.  Can recommend the pizza stone as well!

Cheers and safe travels

Hi Cowboy

We use ours (we have both) all the time.  Go for it. See my reply to Bob below.

Cheers,

Yes Roadwarrior, I cook with the lid up for bbq style food and down for roasts etc.

That's good Flags, have not seen a casserole dish or frypan for the Baby Q, you still have to clean the frypan though, a bbq plate just a quick wipe over is fine till next time.

I have the carry bag, both plates fit inside as well.

Cheers Bob

Hi everyone

The frypan and the casserole dish are non stick and very easy to clean.  I pour any fat into a small bowl and freeze it then throw it out in the rubbish.  Much better than down the sink.

Cheers

Gooday,

Just to offer another opinion we had a Q100 for travel for several years, bought the Breakfast Plate I think it is called, which you sit on top of the Grille for cooking Eggs etc,. found it useless unless the lid was down,  sold it again, also had a Q200 for home use and used it for a few years, felt it was OK but nothing special.

Made the plunge about 2 years ago and bought a 2 Burner Zeigler & Brown for home with half grille and half flat plate. Took a little getting used to, but am deliriously happy with it, both with lid up and down. Find it so much easier to clean and more economical on gas with a better heat distribution.

Sold Both of my Webers for a god price and also bought single burner solid Plate Zeigler & Brown for travel. Was so lucky, we were in Sydney at the time and it came up on E-Bay, finished up winning it for $164-00, Brand New still in the box, bloke had won it in a competition and did not want it. I have only used it on the road a couple of times so far, everybody to their own, but for Me it is streets ahead of our Q100, especially cooking with the lid up on the solid plate.

Hi Bobdown, why would the fry pan need any more cleaning than the grillplate?

Joe

 Hey Joe,

No one said the frypan would take more cleaning, Flags said he didn't have to clean the hot plate.

I made the comment that the frypan also needs cleaning, can't put it away dirty.

Cheers Bob

Funny, how I read it a different way at first.
