CBD and Arthritis.

Both of us  ie:- Jay & Dee both suffer from bad Arthritis.

There has been some talk in our circle of friends re the use of CBD.

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabis sativa plant, which is also known as marijuana.

My Q is that I am seeking advice from anyone on the forum who uses or have used this product.

Is it all that the promo says it is??

I guess that I am just fishing re this request.

Jay&Dee

I have tried 3 different brands, non have been scipted as I could not afford the cost even though my doctor was preparedd to write scipt. The one I am using now is for animal use only and seems the best, I believe it may have more thc left in he oil. AS far as pain relief that hasnt been benifical for me but others swear by it, I take it just before a 4 hr dialysis session to hopefully help me get a bit shuteye during treatment, some times i do some times I dont
cheers

Morning JayDee,

Are you aware that its illegal to drive with any detectable THC in your system in Australia?

This link is to an article that explains the situation very well.

I believe some cannabidiol does not contain THC, not sure if this helps or not.

Be wary about who you order from, a friend of mine ordered Cannabis oil online, the product was not delivered and inquiries went unanswered, a scam, cost him almost $200.

Good luck with your search.smile

Santa,
Thanks for the driving info. I did not see that in my research.
If and only IF I do buy it will be from a retail outlet in Brisbane.

Was thinking of going to Ninbim to check it out.

My biggest issue is that I am on Blood Thinners, so I have to be very careful what I take.

None of the backyard chemists can guarantee that it is THC free because they are not capable of removing it, the just grow a low THC strain of hooch that has been breed for that purpose.
It matters not if it is an illegal product or a prescription product if a roadside drug test picks it up then bye bye license.

when I take it . during dialysis I am on quite a lot of blood thinners to get the blood to flow without clotting during the 4 hour treatment. At all times I have discussed with the nurse and doctors with what I try to help me get through that 4 hrs. They have also told me that most of what I take is washed out during treatment

 cheers

Ps I discuss all drugs I take with my gp, legal or not.

J and D

I sourced CBD oil from the Hemp Embassy at Nimbin in nursing my wife through pancreatic cancer.  Came via mail no problems at all.

It helped relieve her stress and helped her sleep.  She called it her happy pills.  Didn't stop the cancer though.

Hi Les....When my Mrs was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer, and given 3 months to live,I did exactly as you did, with the exception that we drove to Nimbin to meet the sellers.Unfortunately, the final outcome was the same as that of your wife, but,as you say,it did make the final stages of her life much more comfortable, with a lot less stress and improved sleep patterns.John,I would strongly recommend you take a drive to Nimbin to "check it out',but I have no knowledge of how it interacts with Blood Thinners.Good luck.Cheers

P.S There's a well hidden speed camera just South of Murwillumbah..

We use it for pain relief, but we don't ingest it. We have it in topical form, a cream, a spray, and pain patches, and they all work. We bought sizeable amount of  patches in one go, dor 2 reasons, one was because of covid, it was getting harder to buy a small amount and them arriving in time for us to use when required, and  as it worked out cheaper, then at 6 dollars per individually one here in OZ. Where we get them from, is another question? Send me a PM and I will tell you where to get them.. One lot is from New Zealand.

I've tried all sorts of stuff for my problems. Pills, patches, liquids. A few I talked to said get the CBD oil, works wonders, only thing that helped my pain they said. I tried 4 bottles of 3 different types. $1100 later and no change. At the end I tried a few double doses. A sight fuzzy feeling and that was all. And then I couldn't drive. Did not work for me. Tried the next thing on the list and it works the best. And it is only $15 a month. Everyone is different.
