Stockman pod trailer

Although I'm happy with sleeping in the back of my x-trail. I'll never have room to upgrade from an esky to a fridge, plus I can't store extra things on a roof rack because I  can't physically get things down. So I'm limited to where I can travel too without a proper spare ext. So I'm toying with the idea of buying a Stockman all roada Pod trailer. They would appear to be light and relatively easy to handle. We no longer have a stockist in S.A. so next time I'm going to Victoria I will check them out, but as I've just got back from there it probably won't be for a while. Meanwhile I  would like to hear from anyone who has owned one, opinions would appreciated

Cheers

Hi Wannabe nomad,
I recall reading about these in a magazine some time ago. The thing I would check is the attachment of the body (poly, I recall) to the chassis - especially if you are going to do some gravel road travel. Also what sort of life you could expect from the body? And if repair is ever needed - how?
They seem to be reasonably expensive but if it suites your requirements, then it is the right unit to have. They seem to have an almost unlimited range of accessories.

Well, the pod trailer or variety of is an off roader, why not check out an off road Teardrop trailer. If I were in your shoes, a teardrop would be what I would buy.

I'm with Ric on this one. I have seem heaps lately. Even where I am there has been three this month and all happy campers.

The three had two people sleeping in them and a nicely set out kitchen with storage and room for a Engel or similar at rear. Very nice indeed.

I hope I don't regret this but, light weight too.

Edit.....Just a reword

Would you believe, I took, that pic in the outback of good ol' USA a long time ago. Was camping out in my tent, and heard a scream, and a kerfuffle, and just used the camera flash, only just caught the sight of it for a second. Bolted backwards I did, got my useless torch, and watched from a distance. Would you  believe the little bloke won, and gave me an evil stare afterwards! The pic will be changed this week.
