I have vanned for many years & then had a m/home for about 5 years. I am returning to vanning. Awaiting delivery of a 19ft 6in. Option RV Distinction. I had a Aluminium Carport built on the side of my present home. However, I do not have much space on either side. House wall has downpipes and a electricity box, other side has 3 steel posts on the fence line. The carport is concreted but have some lawn and 2 large wooden gates to get through. Luckily there is very little slope in or out. As well I have no angles or bends to worry about. As the Optitec is around the $2350 mark I would like to seek info. from any owners who have one so as not to buy one then find out it was not suitable. As I reside near Nambour { Sunshine Coast Qld} it would be very much appreciated if I could get feed back on it and if any owner of one in the Sunshine Coast area would allow me to visit and inspect their parking this would allow me to determine that an Optitec would work out for me. My home contact is 0754763541. Cheers and many thanks for any assistance to my post. { Jim- Rainbird Rovers }
My brother in-law in Germany has the system which clamps onto the wheels. They have to store the caravan the other way round so they get in & out of the caravan.
I've seen it work, brilliant, actually his wife drives the caravan mostly. Everyone in Europe has them.
Also he has had both hips replaced so best to use the remote control.
In caravan parks in Europe all you see is caravans moving by themselves!

i have the optitec i park van in lane (slight slope) take van thro gate to park it between shed and fence does it very easy if i wanted could take van with in inches of shed or fence one of the best things i have bought cost a bit but worth it for me sorry i dont live your way
My daughter bought an 18ft tandem van already fitted with remote electric drives to each wheel, unhook engage the drives and stand back while she parks the van. Less than 6 inches space between brick wall and roof overhang, easy peasy. Will spin the van in just over its own length. Now.... what was it called.... if not this, then the same as this. Very impressive. www.purpleline.com.au/remote-control-caravan-boat-movers/ .... purpleline caravan movers.
I have the Optitec and it will work fine for you as long as you use it on concrete. No good on grass as it cannot get traction, especially if the grass id damp.
